Located inside present-day Changping County of Beijing, Juyongguan Pass got its name from the phrase “tuju yongtu” (literally “a living place for mediocre people”).
In the middle of Juyongguan, there’s an exquisite white marble platform, otherwise known as “Cloud Platform”. It’s engraved with elaborate Buddha images and patterns in relief.
