Thomas Couture (1815-1879)
A French painter of history and art teacher, Couture is today rather infamous for his The Romans of the Decadence, which basically depicts a bunch of people having an orgy in minute detail. He later taught successful artists including Édouard Manet, John La Farge, and Pierre Puvis de Chavannes.But seriously though, just look at him.
